From computer operations to traveling...

Computer Operating Equipment

Origin Instruments

I’ve been using Origin's SofType keyboard since 2004, and have nothing but good things to say about their technology. Rough estimate, I’ve typed over 2 million words without using my hands.

For the longest time I used a SmartNav camera from Natural Point as my HeadMouse, but they've since moved on to OptiTrack and trackir motion sense cameras. You can find those types of cameras here - NaturalPoint

My newest piece of technology is the Origin Instruments HeadMouse. At almost twice the price of a SmartNav camera, this device says you can use them on the computer, a tablet, or your cell phone. I have yet to try it anywhere else except on my computer.

There are other programs for computer operation, but these are the ones I’ve found that work the absolute best.

Note

~ ~ ~ ~

As a wheelchair user with limited motor skills, I’m an expert on those topics just by living them for over two decades. But my experience is mine, it’s as personal as a fingerprint. What happens to me may or may not have happened to others and vice versa. I believe one of the most important things we must do as human beings is care for and learn about each other. These are all links and resources I've used or researched for others.

Thank you so much for reading!
